Business Developer Bureau Veritas
The foundation of her career is a qualification in BSc Hon Geology (Wits), with extensive skills in the Exploration Geology, Mining Geology and Exploration Data Handling. After spending 8 years as a geologist, she was looking to expand her knowledge and skills into a business management role that covers business strategy, sales and marketing, communication, finance and risk management.
She acquired it by joining Bureau Veritas, her current position being Business Development Manager for Commodities. She is responsible for growing the business, by ensuring that they maximise at current markets, and putting strategies in place that ensure future growth. Her success in this role is well-defined by her increased network within various industries, as well as financial gain in monetary terms achieved by the company and increased market share.
Mashudu is passionate about education and entrepreneurship and believe the future growth and success of her country lies in the participation of all stakeholders in both.
She is on the Bureau Veritas Southern Africa CSR committee, her role is to ensure the company has a clear role in supporting the communities where Bureau Veritas operate.
Mashudu’s career objective is to utilise my acquired skills in a stimulating, professional environment with a variety of opportunities for her to grow as a professional and to have an economic impact. She has recently completed the Master Management in Strategic Marketing (MMSM) at the University of the Witwatersrand School of Business, a two year world class strategic marketing master’s program.
