What are the reasons for your engagement with Women In Africa ?
For more than 40 years, Fnac has been committed throughout the year to promoting access to culture for all and for all generations, whether through the prescription of its teams of book and music professionals who guide customers towards an “enlightened choice”. Fnac also supports creativity through numerous events: the Fnac Novel Prize, the Fnac Livres fair, Fnac Live Paris, the Goncourt des Lycéens Prize, the Fnac Inter Comic Book Prize, as well as free cultural events held in the company’s stores. Each year, more than 2000 events are held in France and abroad – book signings, readings, meetings, workshops, mini-concerts… – which are offered free of charge to the public.
Access to culture is a commitment in Fnac’s DNA, which is present on the African continent through franchise stores in Morocco, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Congo. Therefore, when WIA wanted to open an Art & Culture section within its economic forum, it was logical for us to sign up to this project.
