Impact Partnerships Manager Sub-Saharan Africa Bayer

Naomi DICK KABA defines herself primarily as a passionate advocate for Maternal and Mental Health for African wom Kaba defines herself primarily as a passionate advocate for Maternal and Mental Health for African women.

In her role at Bayer as Impact Partnerships Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, her mission is to enable 100 million additional women who desire it to access a modern contraceptive method in the Global South by 2030. She achieves this through partnerships with the global Sexual and Reproductive Health ecosystem (civil society, governments, international and local NGOs, bilateral and multilateral cooperations, etc.).

After earning a PhD in pharmacy focusing on the impact of modern contraception in Francophone Africa and a Master of Public Health specializing in health systems management in the Global South from EHESP in Paris, she decided to move to Côte d’Ivoire. Her primary goal was to contribute to eradicating the “scourge” of pregnancies in schools in Francophone Africa, driven by her own mother’s story in the late 1980s in Abidjan.

Starting from women’s health, Naomi Dick Kaba developed a broader interest in Social Justice issues with a Gender approach. This led her to pursue a Master’s in International Relations at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, focusing on “Gender & Development.” In addition to initiating several research projects related to women’s mental health during perinatal and postpartum periods, Naomi also serves as the Secretary-General of the Côte d’Ivoire chapter of the global movement Women in Global Health, which aims to promote women leaders in global public health.

Through her background and field of work, Naomi aims to embody a new model of Western-African dialogue, particularly in the area of development aid, which she hopes to see evolve for more sustainable outcomes. This dedication earned her recognition as a 2023 Young Leader by the French-African Foundation and as an African Young Leader by the European Commission.
