A source of inspiration today

« African women in general need to know that it’s ok for them to be the way they are to see the way they are as a strength, and to be liberated from fear and from silence. », tells us Wangari Maathai, the first African woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004. Like elsewhere in the world – women are more vulnerable to poverty and violence. Yet most of the potential for economic growth, innovation, health and education lies in the hands of women.

Marrakesh, Morocco, September 25-27, 2017 : Women in Africa Forum
Roland Berger is behind the 1st WIA Club summit which will hold its first episode in Marrakesh, Morocco, in September 2017. The ambition is to create the first global network of women executives and leaders in Africa, to promote their role and their economic, social and political influence, in Africa and beyond.
To support this unprecedented initiative, Roland Berger has published a series of 4 opuses throughout the year to feed the reflections of the Forum.

Our teams will also accompany the WIA Club summit and the setting up of the Women in Africa Entrepreneurs Hub and Women in Africa Revelations, which will be presented at the Women in Africa Forum.
