Mrs Ademe is a graduate from:
- Awassa Agricultural College, currently renamed Awassa University;
- International School of Diplomacy and Protocol, in Brussels, Belgium;
- Lion Ethiopia Tourism& Hotel College, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Mrs Ademe worked in the Ministry of Agriculture as an expert in extension department and gained 15 years of experience. She then joined a Non Governmental Organization called “Sasakwa Global 2000”-joint ventures of the Sasakawa Africa Association (SAA) and the Global 2000 programme of the Carter Center as an expert on post harvest section and served for five years in different position and responsibilities to increase the impact on raising agricultural productivity and improving farmer incomes. Since 2005, Mrs Ademe is a self-employed and runs her own business and is a Managing Director of KoniTour, Travel and Events Company that she established. She serves in a number of leadership positions in entrepreneurial and development based associations in Ethiopia. She is currently the President of the Addis Ababa Women Entrepreneurs Association.
Her primary passion is to encourage and empower entrepreneurs to actively participate in sustainable economic development. In addition to her professional engagements and extensive leadership experience, she uses every opportunity availed to her to promote and share the beautiful and unique culture of Ethiopia to the rest of the world. Mrs Ademe actively participatesand devotes her spare time being a member of Global Peace Foundation that is founded by the late Ethiopian President H.E. Girma Wolde-Giorgis,as well as serving as a board member of business Associations coalition against HIV/AIDS. She also served as Vise President of board of Directors at one of Ethiopian Private Banks, Abay Bank. Mrs Ademe is a proud mother of two and a grand-mother of four. She is a very energetic, passionate defender and promoter of the role of women in society.
