During the same period, she opened a sports bar, with her partner,in the same island.
In 2016, she decided to diversify and start providing more services such as marketing and digital marketing, and translations.
And meanwhile, she started to produce handmade handbags. Her mother isaplastic arts teacher taught her at a very young age a lot of crafts made by hand such as painting, drawing, sewing, crochet… and many more. Elaine believes in the great business opportunity of hand made products and decided to register THE HOUSE OF ELLA as a brand in Cabo Verde.
In 2017,Elaine decided to focus her company and efforts in one of the three biggest influential segments in the digital world – women.Cabo Verde is a matriarchal country where women do not have the same opportunities as men- . Therefore, Scientia’s mission is to empower and to assist women in their search for opportunities and in the development of their abilities. Elaine enjoys both her work in the Marketing industry and the tranquillity she feels while creating and sewing her handbags.
