Gaëlle RANDRIAMANANA-PLESS

Gaëlle is a passionate and dedicated entrepreneur who brilliantly leads the Société de Tri Compactage et Valorisation des Déchets (STCV) to promote sustainable development in Madagascar. With a wealth of professional experience, Gaëlle founded STCV in 2022 after recognizing the severe issues of poor sanitation and industrial pollution in the country.

In 2023, STCV, a true social impact enterprise, experienced impressive growth and was honored with several prestigious awards. These included the “Mizunami Africa Foundation Prize for Madagascar Start-Ups 2023,” first place in the presidential contest “3, 2, 1 Pitch By Fihariana,” as well as the renowned BNI Lovainjafy competition. STCV was also selected among the four winners of this national contest organized by the BNI MADAGASCAR bank, giving Gaëlle the opportunity to present her innovative project, ActionHers, to the country’s economic stakeholders.

Proudly representing Madagascar at COP28, Gaëlle continues to bring international attention to her country. STCV is currently supported by SPRINT (Startup Paris Region International), an incubation network backed by the Île-de-France region. In 2024, Gaëlle was elected Francophone Woman of the Year by the International Association of Francophone Mayors. As President and Founder of GADAEM (Groupement des Acteurs des Déchets et Alternatives Écologiques de Madagascar), she plays a key role in promoting sustainable and ecological solutions.

Convinced of the need for collaboration to overcome environmental challenges, Gaëlle asserts: “Today, more than ever, we must unite our forces to tackle one of the greatest challenges of our time: preserving our environment.” Gaëlle perfectly embodies the figure of a young entrepreneur, combining professional experience and innovative vision for sustainable development in Madagascar. The numerous awards she has received testify to the positive impact of STCV and her inspiring leadership.
