Néné Maïga is 34 years old women from the Timbuktu region of Mali.
She holds a Master’s degree in Management from the HEC Paris Grande Ecole programme.
She began her career in France as a consultant before coming back to the continent of the future: Africa.
After working for the Sonatel Group in Senegal in 2016 and for two years at Canal + in Cameroon, Néné Maïga has been the Chief Executive Officer of Orange Afrique et Moyen Orient since 2018. This position gave her the opportunity to work on projects concerning the group’s 17 countries of presence, and to contribute to a more efficient and inclusive company.
Previously, she was the Managing Director of Orange Finances Mobiles Mali, the financial subsidiary of Orange Mali and the first contributor to Mali’s financial inclusion. She worked on the development of the business, by recruiting new customers and launching new innovative offers: micro-credit, international transfer, contactless payment. She has also worked to transform the business in order to make it more compliant with the regulator’s injunctions.
