Thokozile is an advocate of political and social justice who has made significant contributions to the development of African politics and leadership. She created the #NotTooYoungtoLead campaign, now a global movement. 

 

She is the General Secretary of the International Youth Parliament, an organization that advocates for the meaningful inclusion of young people in politics, leadership, and decision-making. Through her leadership, the International Youth Parliament was recognized and selected by the African Union as one of the top 70 institutions contributing to Africa’s political development and leadership. 

 

Thokozile introduced the Womxn+ Political Leaders Program in South Africa and Namibia. Through this program, emerging political leaders who identify as Womxn are empowered to run for public office and political parties are educated about inclusion. Through this program, several young leaders were appointed to public office locally and nationally. She was named one of the 50 most powerful women in South Africa in 2021. In 2022, she was named one of the 100 most influential young people globally.
