The story of how I became a female entrepreneur in tech is quite lengthy but the short version is that I was always interested in technology and I decided to go slip the route of a 9-5 job and pick up a tech skill, with that skill, I have helped other women and youths succeed in tech, and I’m lucky to have found a career that I love.

Your JAMII Femmes experience

My expectations in the training were just to learn and join a community of African women, but I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed the training. I loved being part in a community of like-minded African women sharing the same vision. I felt supported and motivated throughout the entire experience. I learned so much and I am really grateful for the opportunity to have participated in the training.

My greatest success during the boot camp was learning how to manage teams, and emotions, write a business plan, and also be a lucky winner during the raffle draw. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to attend the boot camp and would recommend it to anyone seeking to improve their business skills. My greatest challenge during the training was the group projects. I had to learn to manage my time and communicate my thoughts effectively to complete the projects successfully. I also had to learn to compromise and take other people’s opinions into account.

Finally, a quote on your motivation, your vision of Africa or your personal ambitions

I have always been fascinated by the beauty of my continent. Africa has so much to offer the world and I am determined to participate in its development to become a great world power. The continent has the potential to become a world leader in many sectors, especially in technology, and I am determined to do everything in my power to make this a reality.
