What did the program do for you?
The programme provided me the opportunity to unlearn and relearn as well as acquire soft skills required to make my business a success. Through the Honoris CrossKnowledge online academy platform as well as the Bootcamp, I have been exposed to personal, social and entrepreneurship skills.
What did you accomplish with the $10,000 grant?
With the $10,000 grant money, we acquired a greenhouse from Dizzengoff and went on to plant Habanero and Bell Peppers.
What are your perspectives for the months and years to come?
We have also set up a hub for women Empowerment (ChiNano Hub). This is our way of paying it forward by helping women acquire soft skills and put structures around their businesses. We are expanding our product range and hope to acquire another green house before the end of the year. We now have a WhatsApp Channel and looking to connect with our customers who are particular about organic products. We hope to also set up a processing plant for our farm produce so as to reduce waste and increase the shelf life of the products.
A message you’d like to share to the continent’s women entrepreneurs.
My message to other female entrepreneurs:
To my sisters, colleagues and fellow entrepreneurs who have the audacity to dream bigger than the limitations set before us as women.
Continue to dream wildly,
Believe in your brilliance,
Embrace your unique magic,
Let us mentor, collaborate and empower one another.
Remember, this journey is yours and yours alone, There will be days of doubt, moments of failure and hurdles that seem insurmountable. But never forget the fire in your heart, the unwavering belief in yourself, and unwavering support for your community. You are capable of building empires, changing lives and shaping the future of this continent. Go forth, my sisters, and conquer!
